Peri peri sauce

There is an interesting story about when I first made the peri-peri sauce. My children are very fond of taking restaurant food, They chose to hang out at the restaurants that serve peri-peri sauce. But in the year 2020, when the whole earth fall into the covid pandemic, then we all became restricted from taking outside food. My children are prone to serious depression because they really like to grab their relish food with a mix of peri-peri sauce.


My husband felt hurt to watch this. Then he searches for various recipes about how to prepare the peri-peri sauce. He tried to make the peri-peri sauce in few times, but we did not get the perfect taste of the restaurant. My husband and I try to prepare our own recipe with the application of perfect ratio, and taste. Surprisingly we get success! Yes, at last, we get the real taste of peri-peri sauce that the restaurants serve.


It originated from African bird’s eye chili and mixed with other common ingredients like vinegar, bell pepper, salt, olive oil, etc. But sometimes it may not be possible for you to collect the bird’s eye chili. Do not get unhappy about this. Here I share with you the easy way to make homemade peri-peri sauce which you will easily make with the common ingredients that are being saved in the corner of or in the refreeze of your kitchen.


Ingredients:


Bell pepper: 4 pieces


Red chili: 10 pieces


Black pepper: 6/7 pieces


Garlic: 3 large size


Onion: 3 large size


Olive oil: 2 cup


White vinegar: 2 tablespoon


Apple cider vinegar: 2 tablespoon


Lemon: 1 large size


Oregano powder: 1 teaspoon


Salt: 1 teaspoon


Rock salt: 1/2 teaspoon

How to cook:


  • Add the ingredients into a blender or a food processor. Blend these until they become smooth.

  • Heat the pan in a medium flame.

  • Pour the mixture into the pan and stir it for 15 minutes.

  • Now your peri peri sauce is ready to serve.

  • Turn off the burner and keep the sauce to be cool.

  • Store it in a glass jar.
