Senna tea is usually known as a kind of laxative. It comes from the leaves of the Senna plant. The origin of Senna originated from Egypt but now grows worldwide. Though it is familiar for laxative use in varieties of Ayurvedic and Unani medicines. It is also used for hemorrhoids, weight loss, and irritable bowel syndrome.

How to prepare Senna tea:

The processing of Senna tea is like any other tea that you usually consume. Here I share the preparation of making Senna tea for one person.

Ingredients:

  • Dried Senna tea: 2 tablespoons

  • Water: 2 cups

  • Ginger slice(optional): ½ teaspoon

  • Cinnamon(optional): 1 medium slice

  • Honey or another sweetener: As per required

Cooking process:

  • Keep a saucepan on the burner. Pour the water and wait for boiling

  • When the water becomes boiled then add the Senna leaves, ginger, and cinnamon. Now boil for an extra 2 minutes.

  • Strain the mixture. Mix with your favorite sweetener and sip it.

Good time for taking Senna tea:

If you sip Senna tea before your bedtime at night, then you will get the desired output of relieving constipation.

Caution: It is a sort of laxative. So you should not drink it daily. Remember that you should not drink Senna tea continuously for more than 7 days.
